He is the son of James Deyell of Cavan Twp., Peterborough Co., Upper Canada, and Mary Jane Sloan of Ontario, Upper Canada. He was a Cabinet Maker at the time of his son's birth in 1891, and also at the time of his death in 1905, which was due to Bronchial Pneumonia.

Catherine "Kate" Queen was born June 1, 1862, in Scotland; Immigrated in 1863; and died April 9, 1932, at 19 Claude Ave., Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada, at age 69. She is the daughter of George Queen and Unknown of Scotland. Buried in Campbellford, Ontario, Canada.
