The Holland Evening Sentinel, Holland, MI, Monday, September 27, 1954 Grand Haven Resident Dies of Heart Attack GRAND HAVEN - Charles Edward Gaunt, 68, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 4 p. m. Saturday at his home, 52 Harbor Ave. He was born in Hillsdale Nov. 22, 1885. An upholsterer by trade, he worked for the last 12 years at Central Upholstering Co. in Muskegon. He was married Aug. 13, 1914, to Sarah Clark in Grand Rapids. He attended St. John's Episcopal Church and had been confirmed in Grand Rapids. Surviving are his wife; two sons, William of Muskegon and Lester of Muskegon Heights, both members off the police force; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Mae Erwin of Coopersville, Mrs. Bessie Burdick and Mrs. Harvey Graff of Grand Rapids; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Kinkema Funeral Home Tuesday at 2:30 P. M. with the Rev. Irving V. Shepard officiating. Burial will be at Spring Lake Cemetery. Esther Lillian (Norlin) (Anderson) (Graff) Smith died March 20, 1976, in Round Lake, Lake Co., IL at age 87.
