Gustafva Wilhelmina Ekman was born March 11, 1825, in Asby Parish, Linkőping District of Östergőtland Co., Sweden, and died November 22, 1896, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Louis Anderson and Amanda Albertina (Larson) Anderson, St. Paul, Ramsey Co., MN, at age 71. Buried in Plot: Block 4, Lot 15, Space 1, Union Cemetery, Maplewood, Ramsey Co., MN. She is the daughter of Lars Unknown of Sweden, and Eva Helena Molsson of Sweden.

Lars Fredrik Nilsson and Gustafva Wilhelmina Ekman were married March 24, 1844, in Östergötland Co., Sweden.

A family reunion of the Larson and Lewis families was held at the home of Almo Larson in Farmington, Sunday.


According to Freeda (Larson) Lewis, "All were related to either Gustav Larsson Lewis on my father's side of the family, or to Aunt Sophia Larsdotter Lundgren on my mother's side of family. Uncle Gust. was my father's brother. Aunt Sophia was my mother's sister."

The 1895 Minnesota State Census taken on June 3, 1895, shows Louis Anderson (age 34) born in Sweden with both parents foreign born and having lived in Minnesota for 8 years and having lived in this district for 2 months is a Court House Janitor living at 695 De Soto Street, 1st Ward, City of St. Paul, Ramsey Co., MN. Living with him is Mrs. Amanda Anderson (age 33) born in Sweden with both parents foreign born does Housekeeping. Also living there are: Oscar Anderson (age 10) born in Wisconsin with both parents foreign born; Nels Froberg (age 30) born in Sweden with both parents foreign born, and having lived in Minnesota for 8 years and having lived in this district for 2 months, who is a Laborer; and Oscar Froberg (age 21) born in Sweden with both parents foreign born, and having lived in Minnesota for 8 years and having lived in this district for 2 months, who is a Laborer.

Gustafva Ekman (Larsdotter) Larson died November 22, 1896, in St. Paul, Ramsey Co., MN, at age 71. Gustafva is said to have died at the home of her daughter, Amanda, in St. Paul, MN.
