An August wedding is in
the offing for Miss Barbara Jo Borst and Warren Evan Williams, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Warren J. Williams of 2238 Oakdale, Highland. The betrothal and forthcoming
marriage are announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Robert Borst of LaGrange,
Ill. The bride-to-be graduated from Lyons Township High School in LaGrange and
is a senior at the University of Wisconsin in Madison where she is a member of
Delta Delta Delta sorority. Her fiancé, an alumnus of Highland High
School, earned a degree in business administration at Lakeland College in
Sheboygan, Wis. He is employed by J. T. Ryerson and Son Steel Co., Chicago.

Bob Borst came to Northland College from Ashland High School,
where he was Valedictorian. He was an excellent football and basketball player.
As a quarterback, he was described as calling a "dependable, heady game." He was
also praised as "a fine pass receiver and a sure tackler as a safety man." He
was captain elect of the basketball team and was referred to as "one of the main
cogs in Northland's basketball machine." Bob finished his college education at
the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and graduated with a degree in accounting.
He served as a Navy Lieutenant in both the Atlantic
and Pacific operations during WWII. After the war, he became an account
executive with Standard Oil. His classmates and fellow Hall of Famers have
described Bob Borst as an excellent athlete, student and gentleman. He has been
most successful in all of his endeavors.

L. Robert "Bob'' Borst
L. Robert "Bob'' Borst, 73, a veteran of World War II and
the Korean War, died Monday at his home in Countryside. Mr.
Borst was a retired financial manager with Amoco Oil Co. and
a retired commander in the Naval Reserve. He is survived by
his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Barbara Williams; a brother; and
three grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday
at Community Presbyterian Church, 39 N. Prospect Ave.,
Clarendon Hills.

| Warren E. Williams is the principal, owner and founder of
Williams Appraisals. Williams, a self-described lover of
Southwestern art, culture, geography and history, believes in
doing business the traditional way, with face-to-face
interaction where possible and a focus on working with the
customer to best service their needs. Williams’ experience in
team sports as a youth and in the steel mill as a teen helped
forge the professionalism, enthusiasm and warmth received when
working with Warren.
In his free time, Warren pampers his two
brittany spaniels, Shadow and Buster, plays guitar and listens
to blues, jazz and early rock-n-roll. He spends his vacation
time canoeing, fishing and relaxing at a small log cabin on a
multi-generational family plot in Michigan. Warren has been
married to his beautiful wife, Barbara, for over 30 years and
frequently enjoys the company of his daughter, Stephanie, and
identical twin sons, David and Evan. |

real estate community for almost a quarter of a century.
Following fifteen years working in mortgage banking, Williams
formed Williams Appraisals, an independently owned and operated
real estate appraising company. Williams Appraisals has been in
operation for 9 years, providing appraisals to a wide range of
clients. Williams received his Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration from Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin,
and completed 36 hours in MBA work in Management and Marketing
at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.
Williams is licensed through the Illinois Office of Banks and
Real Estate as a State Licensed Real Estate Appraiser and
Licensed Real Estate Salesperson. He has completed over 350
hours in additional real estate appraisal education through
State of Illinois approved courses. The diversity of his
educational experience includes estimating, fabricating design
