Mr. Jacob Shidel was of the frugal, honest German type and was in all respects a worthy neighbor and a good citizen. He is survived by his widow and two children, Fred C. Shidel of Amherst and Mrs. E. C. Ellis of this city. His oldest son, John A. Shidel, an engineer on the Wisconsin Central, was killed in a wreck at Des Plaines five years ago. He also leaves a brother and sister and half-sister, Adam Shidel of Milladore, Mrs. Elizabeth Burns of Shiocton, and Mrs. Sarah Edwards of Fond du Lac. Fred Shidel had been assisting in the care of his father since Friday. The brother and sister are here and Mrs. Edwards will also be present at the funeral. He was a member of the local Grand Army post.

    JUNGNIK FUNERAL

    Funeral services for C. C. Jungnik, which will be held at 4:15 Monday afternoon from the Wichmann Funeral home, will be under the direction of Fraternal Order of Eagles of which he was a member for 20 years. The Rev. F. L. Schrenkanberg will be in charge. Bearers will be M. W. Fraser, Peter Rademacher, Paul Sell, Martin Boldt, Webster Schilhabel, and John Moll. Honorary bearers will be past worthy presidents, Frank Huntz, Judge F. V. Heinemann, Andrew Schlitz, Sr., Otto Tilly, Edward Tornow, and Henry Losselyoung. Mr. Jungnik was one of the originators of the Appleton Macnnercher of which he was made an honorary member ten years ago.

    APPLETON - Theodore H. Brunke, 86, formerly of 39 Bellaire Ct., Appleton, died at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna, at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday following a short illness. He was born March 24, 1883, in Appleton, the son of Robert and Wilhelmina Mueller Brunke, Appleton pioneers. A wire weaver for 65 years with the Appleton Wire Works, Mr. Brunke retired seven years ago. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church of Appleton, Appleton Elks Club and a former member of the Knights of Pythias and the Wire Weavers Union. Survivors are the widow, Elizabeth Neustadter Brunke, St. Paul Home, Kaukauna; a daughter, Mrs. William Hagner, Appleton; two sons, Theodore R., Newton, N. J., and John F., Park Ridge, Ill.; one brother, Walter, Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. E. L. Carson, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Browne Johnson, San Leandro, Calif; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with interment following in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, after 3 p.m. Friday. The rosary will be prayed at 8 Friday evening.
