She is the daughter of John Wade Sr. of Maryland and Jennet "Jane" Brownlee of Scotland. Simon Blake Sr. and Jane Wade were married May 28, 1816, in Washington Co., MD. Census taken on June 8, 1880 shows Emmeline Blake (age 60) born in Maryland to Maryland-born parents is an Unmarried Servant boarding with a farming family in Snyder Twp., Blair Co., PA.

This Indenture made this fifteenth day of
November in the year of Our Lord, one thousand
eight hundred and fourteen, between John Wade of
Washington County in the State of Maryland of
the one part and Richard Burrell and Rhua
Burrell, his wife of Tuscarawas County, Ohio,
Son-in-Law and Daughter of the said John Wade of
the other part Witnesseth; that the said John
Wade as well for and in consideration of the
natural love and affection, which he the said
John Wade hand and beareth unto the said Richard
Burrell and Rhua his wife, as also for the
better maintenance, support and livelihood of
them the said Richard Burrell & Rhua, his wife,
hath granted, aliented, anenfoeffed and
confirmed, and by these presents doeth give,
grant, alien, enfeoff, and confirm unto the said
Richard Burrell and Rhua, his wife, their heirs
or assigns, a certain Tract or parcel of Land,
being a part of the second quarter, of the
eighth Township in the second Range of the Tract
appropriated for satisfying warrants for
Military services, beginning at a stone the
North West corner of the Section. Thence East
one hundred and eighty perches to a post, thence
South one hundred and forty seven perches &
three lengths to a post, thence North North
eighty nine and three fourth degrees west forty
three perches to a post, Thence South twenty
seven degrees west fifty nine, and two and one
half tenths perches to a post, Thence South
seventy four degrees West, forty six perches to
a Black Walnut, Thence South Sixty nine and one
half degrees west thirteen and thre tenth
perches to a whiteoak, Thence North fifty three

hundred and ten and four tenths perches to a
stone the place of beginning. Containing & laid
out for two hundred and seventeen acres, and
twenty perches strict measure, be the same more
or less, together with all and singular the
priveleges and appurtenances, To have and to
hold the above described tract of Land with its
appurtenances to the said Richard Burrell and
Rhua his wife, their heirs and assigns forever.
