Marion Mary Pospychala was born March 11, 1919, in Rhinelander, Oneida Co., WI, and died April 3, 1987, at Saint Mary's Hospital, Rhinelander, Oneida Co., WI, at age 68. Buried in Saint Mary and Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Rhinelander, Oneida Co., WI. She is the daughter of Franciszek J. "Frank" Pospychala of Poznan, Poland, and Aniela H. "Nellie" Lewandowski of Poland.

Truman Dale Abbey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell L. Verage, Oneida County clerk. The couple plans to be married Aug. 16 in Rhinelander by the Rev. Fr. Anton Tabencki.

Truman Abbey Dies Sunday; Rites Tuesday

Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Truman Abbey, 47, 234 Spruce St., who died Sunday in St. Mary's Hospital. Mr. Abbey, who was born Jan. 6, 1920, in Rhinelander had lived here for 27 years. He worked as a machine tender at the Rhinelander Division, St. Regis Paper Co. He was a World War II Army veteran and on Aug. 16, 1947 married the former Marion Poskie. He is survived by his wife, Marion; a daughter, Susan, at home; and a sister Mrs. Dexter Stefonek of Rhinelander. Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a. m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with Rev. Dennis Meulemans officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call at Hildebrand Funeral Home today after 2 p. m. A prayer service will be held this evening at 8 p. m.

Marion Abbey

Funeral services for Marion Abbey, 68, of 244 Spruce St., who died Friday, will be 10 a. m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Dean Buttrick officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p. m. today at the Hildebrand Funeral Home with a 7 p. m. parish prayer service. Mrs. Abbey was born March 11, 1919 in Rhinelander. A 1937 graduate of Rhinelander High School, she was employed by F. W. Woolworth Co. for many years and by Rhinelander Paper Co. for 15 years until her retirement in 1980. She married Truman Abbey in 1947; he died in 1967. Mrs. Abbey was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and served as a volunteer at St. Joseph's Thrift Shop for many years. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Merle (Susan) McKinnon of Madison; four brothers, William, James and Thomas Poskie, all of Rhinelander, and Theodore of Birnamwood; one sister, Katherine Kolich of Rhinelander; one granddaughter and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and one sister.

MARION ABBEY, 68, of 244 Spruce St., Rhinelander, died April 3, 1987. She was born March 11, 1918 in Rhinelander. Survivors include her daughter Mrs. Merle (Susan) McKinnon of Madison; four brothers, William and James and Thomas Poskie, all of Rhinelander, and Theodore Poskie of Birnamwood; sister, Mrs. Katherine Kolich of Rhinelander; two sister-in-laws, Mrs. William Poskie and Mrs. Thomas (Alberta) Poskie, both of Rhinelander; granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Truman in 1967, four brothers and one sister. The Rev. Dean Buttrick officiated at the funeral services held April 6, 1987 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial is in St. Joseph's Cemetery. She was raised in Rhinelander and attended schools here. She graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1937 and was employed by F. W. Woolworth for many years, then employed by the Rhinelander Paper Company until retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was a volunteer worker at St. Joseph's Thrift Shop for many years. She and Truman Abbey were married in 1947. Hildebrand Funeral Home

Robert J. MacKinnon, 81, Niagara, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29 at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, Mi. He was born Jan. 16, 1924 in Niagara, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James (Mary Gunns) MacKinnon. He married Dorothy Rule on Aug. 9, 1950 in Iron Mountain. He was a lifelong resident of Niagara and graduated from Niagara High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II and received an honorable discharge. He worked for the Niagara Paper Mill for over 40 years as a material handler. He was active in the Dickinson County Racing Association and was a member of the Cretton-Tutas-Johnson Post 136 American Legion of Niagara. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a son, Murl (Susan) MacKinnon of Stoughton; a daughter, Mrs. Allan (Jonelle) Yelle of Sands, Mi.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two special friends, Margaret Badini and Lynn Heid of Iron Mountain. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Marliss on Sept. 1, 1961 and a brother, Raymond Denis. The American Legion held a memorial service at the Jacobs Funeral Home Niagara Chapel at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2. Memorials can be made to the Dickinson County Racing Association in his name.
