He is the son of Adam William Scheidel of Alsace-Lorraine, France, and Lucinda Matilda Abbey of Hope Twp., Durham Co., Canada West. Barbara Catherine Finch was born February 15, 1888, in Kelly, Marathon Co., WI, and died April 18, 1966, in Wausau, Marathon Co., WI, at age 78. She is the daughter of Alfred Jacob Finch of New York and Anna F. "Annie" Christ of Burlington, IA. Wallace Ira "Wally" Shidell and Barbara Catherine Finch were married April 11, 1908, in the parsonage of the Wausau Presbyterian Church, Wausau, Marathon Co., WI. The Wausau Daily Herald, Wausau, Marathon Co., WI, Saturday, February 26, 2005 Raymond Goetsch Raymond A. Goetsch, 89, Wausau, died Thursday, February 24, 2005, at Harmony Terrace Commons in Wausau. He worked in the maintenance department for Crestline Windows for 42 years prior to his retirement. Survivors include his wife Hazel Goetsch, Wausau; one son, Gene (Linda) Goetsch, Bayside; three daughters, Peggy Prohaska, Phillips, Bonnie Marschal, Wausau, and Sandy (Jack) Maley-Sonnentag, Tomahawk; his twin sister, Leone Vogedes, Schofield; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Priebe, Schofield, and Margaret Shidell, Marathon; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Wausau. Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at Helke Funeral Home and will begin again at noon Monday until time of service at the church.
Obituaries for Mar. 15, 2004 Knoll, Marion S (Mrs. John Knoll) Appleton Age 83, died Sunday March 14, 2004, at Franciscan Care Center in Appleton. Marion was born July 15, 1920 in Appleton to the late William and Catherine (McMurchie) Riesenweber, and has been a resident of Appleton all of her life. On July 1, 1939, Marion was united in marriage to John Knoll in Dubuque, Iowa. The couple enjoyed 61 years together until his death in 2000. Marion worked as a clerk at Campbell’s Clothing Store for over 25 years until her retirement in 1982. She is survived by her two daughters: Barbara (Gerald) Priebe, Appleton; and Cheryl (Gerald) Van Elzen, of Appleton. Nine grandchildren: Debra (Gary) Londre, Appleton; Robert Reed, Appleton; Michael (Judy) Reed, Appleton; Steve Reed, Appleton; Carie (Chad) Roovers, Greenville; Michelle Priebe, Appleton; Wendy (Josh) Heilgensthal, FL; Jeff (Kim) Van Elzen, of Hayward, Wis; and Jamie (Heidi) Van Elzen, of New London. Seven great-grandchildren: Nathan Stafford, Michael Reed Jr., Taylor, Eric, and Bryan Reed, Zachery Roovers, and Jordan Van Kauwenberg. Sister-in-law, Leonora Knoll, Menasha. Further survived by nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother Fred Riesenweber, four sisters: Margaret Hunter, Katherine Jahnke, Rachel Reisenweber, and Ruth Stacy. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday March 17 at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Bonnie Marschall Bonnie Marschall, 60, Wausau, died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. Bonnie was born April 20, 1948, in Wausau to parents Raymond and Hazel (Shidell) Goetsch. She grew up in Wausau and was a graduate of Wausau High School. Bonnie married Thomas Marschall on Dec. 6, 1969, and the two remained together for 30 years. To this union were born two children, Trinity and Thomas. Throughout her life, Bonnie was a devoted mother to her children. There never was a sporting event or activity that was missed while her children were growing up. She was a second mother to many of her children's friends and loved all children dearly. Bonnie was a very gifted seamstress, even sewing her own wedding gown and many costumes for her children. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, classic movies, dining out and shopping, and she loved shoes. Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Trinity (John) Garrett of Houston; son, Thomas (Mikki) Marschall of Spring, Texas; granddaughter, Holly Joy Garrett; mother, Hazel Goetsch of Wausau; sisters, Sandy (Jack) Sonnetag of Tomahawk and Peggy Prohaska of Phillips; brother, Eugene (Linda) Goetsch of Bayside, Wis.; and many more dear friends and family. Bonnie is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Goetsch. A memorial service for Bonnie will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2008, at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau.
