Frederick (Christian Friedrich?) "Fred" Grill was born November 18, 1834, in Württemberg, Germany, and died February 21, 1906, in Campbellsport, Fond du Lac Co., WI, at age 71. He is the son of Michael Grill and Dora Unknown. Frederick served in the New Jersey Infantry during the Civil War.

Katharina "Catherine" Scheidel was born October 18, 1838, in the town of Grittvil, Alsace-Lorraine, France, and died March 1, 1907, in Campbellsport, Fond du Lac Co., WI, at age 68. She is the daughter of Michal M. Scheidel Sr. and Marguerithe Heil, both of Alsace-Lorraine, France.

Fred and Catherine were married May 6, 1857, in Fond du Lac Co., WI.

  7. Charles Henry Grill: Born November 19, 1880, in Fond du Lac Co., WI; Died after 1903 in Unknown. Married August 25, 1903, in Fond du Lac Co., WI, to Daisy Ann Roberts: Born October 1886 in Fond du Lac Co., WI; Died October 19, 1959, in Iowa Co., WI (age 72). Daisy signed a warrant against her husband on November 18, 1904, in Fond du Lac stating that he attacked her and kicked her five times. In 1905, Charles, Daisy, and sons John (age 1) and Charles (age 1/12) June 9, 1905, are living with Daisy's parents in Fond du Lac, WI. Charles Grill is a Fireman. By 1910, Daisy Grill is still married, and is an inmate in the institution for the feeble minded in Lafayette, Chippewa  Co., WI. By 1920, Daisy Grill is divorced, and is an inmate in the institution for the feeble minded in Dover, Racine Co., WI. Daisy signed a warrant against her husband on November 18, 1904, in Fond du Lac stating that he attacked her and kicker her five times. By 1910, son Charles Grill (born about 1906) is an inmate of Northern Colony and Training School, Chippewa Co., WI, and remained there as of 1930.

    Mrs. Daisy Grill appeared in Justice Watson's court this morning and swore out a complaint against her spouse. She stated that, because she did not get up to prepare her husband's breakfast, he attacked her and kicked her five times. The warrant was given to Constable W. W. Howe to serve.
