Living with him is his wife of twenty years, Matilda Larson (age 48) born September 1851 in Sweden to Swedish-born parents, and having emigrated in 1880, with 1 of the 7 children born to her still alive. Also living there is his unmarried daughter, Olga Larson (age 17) born June 1882 in Michigan to Swedish-born parents. Also living in the house are two boarders. Lancaster is en route home to Rockford, Ill. She has been the house guest of her niece and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. George Bristol, and has also visited another niece, Miss Cynthia Peterson. The San Antonio Express, San Antonio, Bexar Co., TX; Wednesday, October 17, 1973 Suit Filed Against Policemen A San Antonio man who claims his right foot was broken while he was being arrested by Kerrville policemen filed a lawsuit Monday in federal court here against the two arresting officers. Darryl Lane Lancaster filed the suit against A. W. McBeth, a policeman, and J. Harvey, a sergeant. The incident occurred about midnight last March 6 in Kerrville, according to the suit. Lancaster was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated, the suit says. Lancaster contends that McBeth "kicked and stepped" on his foot which broke two bones, causing him to be "immobilized with a cast from toe to hip for a period of six weeks." The local man claims he "did not resist" arrest and when he complained of a "serious and severe" pain in his foot, both officers refused to allow him any medical attention. Lancaster is asking $100,000 in damages. Kerrville Daily Times, Kerrville, TX; Friday, November 11, 1994 E. G. "LANNY" LANCASTER Services Monday KERRVILLE - Memorial services for E. G. "Lanny" Lancaster, 83, of Kerrville, who died Wednesday in a Kerrville hospital, will be on Monday, at 2 p. m. at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Douglas McBride officiating. Born Nov. 3, 1911 in Merkel, Mr. Lancaster retired after eight years as manager of the Colonial Oaks Apartments. Before that, he had worked in the production department of Rockport Products Corporation in Rockford, Ill. Her served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He married Helen Swenson on April 3, 1946 in Rockford. She survives. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Darryl L. and Connie Lancaster of San Antonio, two brothers, Earl E. Lancaster of Bula and O. C. Lancaster of Banning, Calif.; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church. She was born Aug. 16, 1913, in Rockford, IL, to Karl and Olga Marie (Larson) Swenson. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Survivors include son, Darryl L. Lancaster of San Antonio; niece, Pat Bristol of San Antonio; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. G. Lancaster, in 1994. No services will be held.
