Margaret Scheidel was born December 1824 in the town of Grittvil, Alsace-Lorraine, France, and died February 27, 1895, in Byron Twp., Fond du Lac Co., WI, at age 70. She was the daughter of Michael M. Scheidel, Sr. of Alsace-Lorraine, France, and Ann Unknown of Alsace-Lorraine, France.

George and Margaret were married July 19, 1848, in Rockaway Twp., Morris Co., NJ.
