John Taaffe Irwin

Isaac (Phineas?) Abbey was born in 1798, probably in New York, and died between 1827 and 1833 in Hope Twp., Durham Co., Upper Canada. He was the son of Nathaniel Abbey of Dutchess Co., Province of New York and Mary "Polly" Winters of Dutchess Co., Province of New York.

Lucinda Bradley was born January 16, 1806 in Haldimand Twp., Northumberland Twp., Upper Canada and died July 19, 1896 in Hope Twp., Durham Co., Ontario, Canada at age 90. She was the daughter of Oliver Nathan Bradley of Haldimand Twp., Northumberland Twp., Upper Canada, and Dorcas Abbey of Connecticut.

Isaac and Sandy were married 1825 in Durham Co., Upper Canada.

Isaac and Sandy had two children:

1. Charles Oliver Abbey: Born September 20, 1825 in Hope Twp., Durham Co., Upper Canada; Died May 22, 1863 in Vicksburg, MS (age 37).
2. Oliver Nathaniel Abbey: Born April 28, 1828 in Hope Twp., Durham Co., Upper Canada; Died October 23, 1898 (age 70).

Isaac Abbey died between 1827 and 1833 in Hope Twp., Durham Co., Upper Canada.

Sandy was remarried on April 15, 1833 to John Taaffe Irwin.

John Taaffe Irwin was born October 2, 1799 in County Sligo, Ireland and died June 29, 1861 in Hope Twp., Durham Co., Canada West at age 61. He was the son of Henry Irwin and Hannah Taaffe of Ireland. John attended college in Dublin, Ireland and came to Canada in 1821. John was a doctor.

Married June 5, 1860 in Canada to Talman Bebee: Born February 27, 1832 in Hope Twp., Durham Co., Upper Canada; Died March 4, 1913 in Lot 24, Concession 3, Hope Twp., Durham Co., Ontario, Canada (age 81).
3. Edward Irwin: Born 1845/46 in Hope Twp., Durham Co., Canada West; Died August 7, 1881 (about age 35). 
4. Mary Dorcas Irwin: Born 1847/48 in Hope Twp., Durham Co., Canada West; Died Unknown. Married June 6, 1876 in Guelph, Wellington Co., Ontario, Canada to Thomas Gamble: Born 1848 in Ireland; Died December 17, 1911 in Hopeton St., Yale, Waterloo Co., Ontario, Canada (age 63).
5. Jane Ann Irwin: Born 1851; Died 1915 (about age 64).
